Ulli Stedefeder was known in the equestrian sport like a colorful dog. Whether in Hamburg, the Bundeschampionaten or in Balve, everywhere there he was responsible for the aesthetics in the course.

But now he has passed away after a long battle against his serious illness.

Despite his long and serious illness, "Stede", as he was called by friends and acquaintances, was not a child of sadness. Always one has seen him with confidence and joy always on all tournaments.

Originally, Stedefeder was a garden and course builder. After some time, the man from Schlangen began to supply more and more tournaments with flower decorations and courses.

Gradually, his name was known from outside the Paderborn district and his jewelry was popular on the national but also international tournament courses.

In addition to his work as a course builder in classes E-S, he ran a successful horticultural business.

Besides his cheerful nature, there were also dark sides in Stedefeder's life. For years, he fought his way back into life again and again after numerous bouts with cancer. Even during his therapies, he could be seen again and again on the show grounds at his passion, the equestrian sport. He mastered his numerous operations with fighting spirit and was always brave.

However, Ulli Stedefeder did not want pity from his fellow human beings. Rather, he wanted to draw attention to this terrible disease.

Many will certainly remember him from his charity tournament in Schlangen in 2017. Under the motto "Through cancer, against cancer, for people with cancer", he collected over 26,000 euros at the time on the occasion of his tournament.

But now "Stede" lost the fight against cancer for good in April 2021.
