Sönke Rothenberger and Fendi: 78 % at the international Grand Prix debut

New championship contenders?! The German Team Olympic Champion of 2014 Sönke Rothenberger (GER) made his international Grand Prix debut with the eight-year-old DWB stallion Fendi by Franklin at the CDI3* Indoor Friesland from 14 to 16 October 2022 and did so with sensational scores of up to 78%.
Already in the first international Grand Prix on Friday (14.10.) Sönke Rothenberger (GER) and the only eight-year-old Danish stallion Fendi showed that they are to be reckoned with in the future. The duo impressed with great passages, for example, which were awarded scores of up to 8.5 by the judges. In the end they scored 71.543 % and placed third behind Dinja van Liere (NED) twice, who placed first with Hermes N.O.P and excellent 79.587 % and Hartsuijker second.
In the Grand Prix Freestyle on Saturday evening (15.10.), Sönke and Fendi were able to improve considerably and took second place with 78.015 %. Twice the British judge Isobel Wessels even gave the Franklin son a nine in the final scores. With a score of 82.655%, Dinja van Liere and the ten-year-old KWPN stallion Hermes N.O.P. cracked the 80% mark and took the victory in the freestyle. Third place went to the reigning World Champion Charlotte Fry (GBR) in the saddle of the Negro son Lars van de Hoenderheide (77.020 %).
