At the end of the first day of the 36th STUTTGART GERMAN MASTERS international horse show, the crowd favourite Michael Jung from Horb won the indoor eventing derby for the WALTER solar prize with a commanding lead of almost ten seconds. In the saddle of his nine-year-old gelding Kilcandra Ocean Power, he was the last rider in Stuttgart's Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle to "pulverise" the best time of the 2019 winner Cathal Daniels (Ireland/53) on CDS Cairnview Romolu (53.43) when he rode through the light barrier after 44.52 seconds.

"It is great that the GERMAN MASTERS are taking place again and it is a great pleasure to ride here," said "Michi" Jung after his hussar ride. "Thanks to my supporters I have great horses at my disposal. Kilcandra Ocean Power gave me a super feeling today and was great to ride!"
In front of 5,600 enthusiastic spectators, Sweden's Sofia Sjöborg took third place on her 13-year-old KWPN gelding Eastbourne (53.64). In the afternoon, 4,000 equestrian fans had already watched the dressage competition for the prize of the iWEST company, the style jumping competition of the Baden-Württemberg show-jumping juniors for the NÜRNBERGER Burg-Pokal as well as the run-in competition for the BW Bank Indoor Championships on Thursday for the prize of the Schmidt Sporthandschuhe GmbH company.
Before the start of the indoor derby, in.Stuttgart managing director Andreas Kroll honoured the couple Hildegard and Wolfgang Walter for a decade of their company WALTER solar as the main sponsor of the tournament, after the Ellwangen-based company had already been a loyal exhibition partner in the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle before that. "We say THANK YOU and look forward to many more joint horse shows with you!", Kroll concluded the tribute.
