Neumünster: TSF Dalera BB wins the World Cup Grand Prix

Isabell Werth in second place, Helen Langehanenberg in sixth place

Neumünster (fn-press). After a three-month tournament break, the Olympic champions from Tokyo, Jessica von Bredow-Werndl (Aubenhausen) and the Trakehner mare TSF Dalera BB, started 2022 with a win Classics in the Holstenhallen due to corona, but at least the stage of the dressage world cup could be saved under strict safety conditions and closed to the public.

"I was ill last week and didn't ride at all for a few days, so it wasn't clear whether I could start in Neumünster," said Jessica von Bredow-Werndl. The 36-year-old Olympic champion only got back in the saddle on the Monday before the tournament, and five days later everything went like clockwork in the Holstenhalle. "Dalera is like a best friend who tells me, come on, we can do it." And how the two of them managed it! 84.395 percent was the verdict of the five judges for the short Grand Prix, which has been ridden as a qualification for the World Cup Freestyle since this season. Dalera, the 15-year-old daughter of Easy Game, made no mistakes and, as always, completed the workload elegantly and lightly.

Isabell Werth (Rheinberg) claimed second place with a clear gap. Her partner DSP Quantaz, a Quaterback son bred in Brandenburg, had not seen a show place since the CHIO Aachen in September 2021. The athletic stallion has become even more expressive in piaffe and passage over the winter. Isabell Werth: "Quantaz is an incredibly strong horse, he likes to present himself as a macho." The "macho" didn't remain flawless, but made a mistake in the changes of two (78.553 percent). Now he has to get more tournament routine again, explained his rider.

The Danish couples came up trumps, taking third, fourth and fifth place. The best of them was Nanna Skodborg Merralt with the 17-year-old Oldenburg mare Atterupsgaards Orthilia (77.921 percent), followed by Carina Cassoe Krüth with the Danish mare Heiline's Danciera (77.632) and Catherine Dufour with the Westphalian Vamos Amigos (77.395). Helen Langehanenberg (Billerbeck) came in sixth with the Holsteiner Annabelle (76.132), closely followed by Benjamin Werndl (Aubenhausen), who used his Oldenburg gelding Famoso OLD. The Farewell III son had been off for more than a year and was only presented once in a Grand Prix in autumn. The 15 best couples in the World Cup Freestyle will present themselves tomorrow, Sunday. It will also be broadcast live by Clipmyhorse.tv (from 11.15 a.m.). hen
