He was the fastest: Daniel Deusser and his Killer Queen crossed the finish line in the jump-off for the Coupe Genève after only 31.47 seconds. And it would have been the victory. If the last pole had not fallen. That was bad luck and meant eighth place instead of victory.
And so, to the great delight of the home crowd, the victory went to Steve Guerdat and his Rolex Grand Prix Winner in Calgary 2021, Venard de Cerisy. The pair crossed the finish line after 32.93 seconds, clear. The next two places also stayed in Switzerland: Edouard Schmitz and Gamin van't Naastveldhof finished behind Guerdat and in front of Niklaus Schurtenberger in the saddle of C-Steffra.
Gerrit Nieberg and his Blues d'Aveline CH also delivered two flawless rounds. They came fourth. The world number seven Deusser was also still in the money in eighth place with Killer Queen VDM. Christian Ahlmann and Mandato vd Neerheide placed eleventh after two faults in the jump-off. André Thieme and his Conacco were one place out of the placings with a time fault in the round.
