German riders successful in Stadl Paura
Since Thursday, some German riders have traveled to Stadl Paura (Austria) for the international tournament. The facility of the Upper Austrian sports club is geographically located between Salzburg and Linz. So exactly in the Austrian horse Mecca. The results of the German riders can be seen so far. Already on Thursday, the young German rider Lucas Wenz won a youngster jumping competition over 115cm. Since in this judging all faultless rides won, Sönke Kohrock and Lawrence Green also found themselves on the first places. Also Michael Viehweg and Niels Carstensen could already secure some placings in Upper Austria.
Yesterday's Friday was already a highlight of the weekend, the Championships of Stadl-Paura.
Here the German riders were strongly represented, but had to admit defeat to a rider from Austria. In the end, Dieter Köfler, who competes for Ranftlhof, came out on top. Together with his 11 year old Check In son "Be Check it out" he was the fastest in the course at the end.
But the German competition was not long in coming. Only a few hundredths behind then ranked Maximilian Ertz with Lexus and Andreas Brenner with Samba de la Magnifica.
It was also a strong success for 23 year old Lucas Wenz. Together with his top horse "Chandon de Blue" he finished 5th behind Christian Rhomberg.
