Especially jumping youngsters in high favour in Westphalia

Münster: 19 young horses for the dressage ring and show jumping course were up for sale at the Westphalian Online Auction. Especially the show jumpers were very popular among the customers of the Westphalian Studbook. A daughter of Pegase van't Ruytershof/Codex advanced to the top price this evening. Utopia van het Schanshof was knocked down to customers from Poland for 22,500 Euros. A total of 13 youngsters changed hands for an average price of 12,788 Euros.
The auction candidates with a jumping pedigee were particularly sought after this evening. Three of the sold youngsters with a jumping pedigree achieved a hammer price of more than 15,000 Euros. The most expensive offer of the evening was Utopia van het Schanshof (breeder: Louis Hermans, Belgium; exhibitor: Sport-Horse4-Sirrin, Neuötting) with the head number 6. The daughter of Pegase van't Ruytershof/Codex descends from the dam line of Orlando by Heartbreaker. After a long bidding duel between customers from Italy and Poland, she was knocked down to the customers from Poland for 22,500 Euros.

The most popular youngster with a dressage pedigree was the head number 4 Passoa. The son of Le Formidable/Jazz (breeder: Luc Boogert, Netherlands; exhibitor: BG Wim ten Pas und L. Boogert, Niederlande) is a half-brother to the highly successful stallion Asgards's Ibiza. Customers from Germany secured the strong moving bay stallion at the hammer price of 17,500 Euros.
Of the 19 youngsters offered for sale, almost 70 percent changed owners. 10 of the young horses sold will start their riding careers outside of Germany. With a total turnover of 166,250 Euros, the international clientele invested an average of 12,788 Euros in their young horse.
