Alois Pollmann Schweckhorst has married

He and his long-time life partner Pia Scheffer gave themselves the yes-word in the closest family circle.
"I had proposed to her a long time ago, but also by Corona everything has dragged on a bit," Schweckhorst told the online news portal Spring-Reiter.de.
For the former Nations Cup rider it is the second marriage.
In his first marriage he married Simone Pollmann Schweckhorst, with whom he already has two grown-up children. His older daughter Lena is also successful in show jumping and was some years with the Dane Christoffer Lindenberg.
Lindenberg is now with the dressage rider Anna Abbelen.
Not only because of the Corona pandemic, the honeymoon for the 56 year old and his wife, who works in the event and marketing sector as a consultant, fall out for now.
"The tournament season is just starting up again. I have been training the British show jumper Alexandra Thornton for three years, who is stabled with her horses in Valkenswaard at Oliver Lazarus. In a few days she will be going to Madrid for the Longines Global Champions Tour, and of course I will be there to support her at such big competitions. After that, Sopot is on the show calendar," Schweckhorst reports.
