After 5 months: Cian O'Connor hands over C Vier

They were a couple for just under five months: The show jumper Cian O'Connor and the Holsteiner C Vier. Today, the Irishman announced the sale of the 14-year-old gelding on his social media channels.
"Today C Vier has left our stables in Karlswood and started his journey to his new rider in the USA. I am overjoyed to have been a part of this special horse's career, even if it was only a few months. In that time we won a Grand Prix Qualifier in Wiesbaden, jumped clear in the Nations Cups in Rome and Knokke. But our highlight was undoubtedly the World Championships in Herning, where we went clear in the first round of the Nations' Cup and helped Ireland qualify for the Olympic Games," O'Connor wrote.
His express thanks also went to Susan Magnier, who bought C Four for him. "We had a goal and we achieved it. Good luck to his new rider. I am sure C Vier will make your dreams come true too." O'Connor did not reveal who will be sitting in the saddle of the 14-year-old bay horse in future, with whom David Will won the European team silver medal with Team Germany a year ago.
