Warendorf (fn-press). The stations of Germany's U25 jumping cup for the year 2022 are fixed! The series of tournaments organized by the German Top Equestrian Sport Foundation and the Müter family leads through four qualifications to the grand finale at the CHIO Aachen.

Gaining experience at top tournaments and setting big goals for the season: Germany's U25 Show Jumping Cup, organized by the German Top Equestrian Foundation and the Müter family, offers this opportunity to young show jumping talents. Started in 2014, the Show Jumping Cup gives show jumpers up to the age of 25 the opportunity to grow into the senior camp. The path from Germany's U25 Show Jumping Cup 2022 to the final at the CHIO Aachen leads through four stations. This year, the stations are coming one after the other: The start is the international Horses and Dreams tournament on the Kasselman family farm in Hagen am Teutoburg Forest from April 20th to 24th. This is followed by the international Maimarkt tournament in Mannheim from May 6th to 10th.

It continues in Groß Viegeln, when the jumping cup will be a guest at Holger Wulschner's facility for the first time from May 18th to 22nd as part of the international four-star tournament. The final qualification will take place from June 9th to 12th as part of the German Dressage and Show Jumping Championships in Balve.

"We have four top-class stations again and I'm looking forward to both the proven tournaments and Groß Viegeln with its jumping cup premiere," says Peter Teeuwen, who looks after the jumping cup as the youth national trainer. He says: “This year we have a lot of couples who have switched from the U21 camp to the U25 age group. It will be interesting to see how they gain a foothold across the individual stations. I am very confident that we will have some good vintages and couples in the years to come. We have already seen great talents in the Jumping Cup that have now arrived in the big sport.”

Maurice Tebbel from Emsbüren and the stallion Don Diarado were the winners in the show jumping cup final in 2017. In 2021 they took part in the Olympic Games in Tokyo. The current record winner with three victories is Richard Vogel, who was at the top of the podium at the Aachen Soers in 2018, 2019 and 2021. He is currently collecting 5-star rankings in the USA. Philipp Schulze Topphoff from Havixbeck near Münster is also very successful: he had the opportunity to compete in top-class tournaments and take part in Nations Cups with the U25 Show Jumping Cup. Now he has successfully reached 5-star level, won the World Cup stage in A Coruna, Spain and qualified for the World Cup Final.

The couples of the 2022 show jumping cup are also hoping for a similar path. The best 25 couples from the qualifications can start in the grand final at the CHIO Aachen. In addition, some of the finalists receive permission to start in Nations Cups and are allowed to represent the German colors abroad. lau
