Three horses cracked the 100,000 euro mark at Westphalian Autumn Auction.
Münster: The Westphalian Autumn Auction shone with a lot of young riding horses of outstanding quality. 42 dressage and 16 show jumping horses were for sale at this auction. In the end, it took 144 bids from 26 customers before the virtual hammer fell for the beautiful bay gelding. Customers from Korea fought against customers from Germany to win the bid. With a sensational hammer price of 590,000 euros, he reached the highest price ever achieved by a riding horse at a Westphalian auction. The winning bid was won by a bidding group of owners including the Werndl family from Aubenhausen. The second most expensive horse of this day is a direct stable neighbor of this top priced horse. With the head number 13, Ernesto comes from the Ulmker family's breeding stable. Also trained by the daughter of the house Andrea Krehenwinkel, the tall gelding impressed customers from near and far from day one. In the final BidUp, the bids came fast. Here she first advanced to the title of Champion Mare of this year's Elite Show and then secured the bronze medal in the Westphalian Championships. The talented mare was sold at a hammer price of 108,000 Euros to supportive hands. She will remain in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The most popular riding pony in the lot was the full brother of the 2021 Bundeschampion George. Glückspilz WE by Hesselteichs Golden Dream/FS Cocky Dundee (breeder: Tanja Schalkamp, Münster; exhibitor: Willi Flaßkamp, Warendorf-Hoetmar) with the head number 15 is already successful in competitions. The show jumpers at this year's fall auction attracted great interest from international customers. Bids came in from all over the world. In total, the Westphalian Stud Book generated a turnover of 1.9 million euros from the horses sold. On average, international customers invested 44,674 euros in their new horse from Münster-Handorf.

Youngster and broodmare auction

At an average price of 16,875 Euros, 16 youngsters and six broodmares in foal changed hands last Monday at an average price of 10,375 Euros. It took almost 100 bids from 15 different bidders before the virtual hammer fell on Savant SKS by Secret (Ausst.: Sportpferde Beckmann GmbH Co. KG, Wettringen). Her dam, Koerien H-E by Emilion, is a half-sister to Dindependent Z, who is successful in CSI competitions with Lukasz Koza of Poland. This young talent will also start his career in Germany.
