(Elmshorn) On March 19, 2022 the traditional spring auction of the Holsteiner Verband will take place - for the 36th time. Managing Director Roland Metz and his team have carefully selected the approximately 30 promising young horses and now the talents can be viewed online at the auction portal holsteiner.auction.
In the past years, it has become established that promising three-year-olds enrich the lot of the first auction of the year. And so ten horses will present themselves in free jumping at the start of the Holsteiner auction year 2022. Among them are offspring of big names like Casall, Diamant de Semilly or I'm Special de Muze as well as children of younger stallions like United Way, Million Dollar or Manchester van't Paradijs from renowned stud farms. The ridden horses are between four and six years old and can not only show interesting relationship performances, but some of them have already been successful in competitions. For example, catalogue number 2, Calitino by Calido I-Caretino (see picture on the left) from the 104 A line. The dam of the four-year-old gelding is none other than BB Caretana, who was successful in jumping competitions up to 1.50 metres under Niklaus Schurtenberger and is also a stallion dam with Casello by Casalito. The pedigree of catalogue number 6, Californication VLN by Diamant de Semilly-Clearway, is also very interesting. Not only her recently deceased sire makes this grey mare so precious: Her dam Colina was internationally successful up to 1.50 metres under Natalia Czernik. Furthermore, the lot of the auction is characterised by a great genetic diversity. Internationally established sires such as Diarado, Vagabond de la Pomme, Colman or Clearway are represented as well as up-and-coming younger stallions. "Once again, we have succeeded in putting together a very special and qualitative lot. Three- to six-year-old Holsteins are in the lot, which have a perspective for the show jumping and eventing sport", Roland Metz emphasises.
