Preis der Besten Jumping: Carlotta Merschformann takes gold twice

Warendorf (fn-press). The titles in the prize for the best children and ponies go to Westphalia: Carlotta Merschformann secured victory in both age groups, with two sports partners from Westphalian breeding: with Conny in the children’s age group and with Black Pearl NRW in the ponies’ age group.

"It's such a great feeling. Both of my mares were already in a great mood on the preparation area and both worked really well in the course. It's nice that we were all rewarded for it," said the winner, who won gold medals in both age groups couldn't quite grasp it. "Conny and I are just a great match. We get along very well because we're very similar. We're both very ambitious, sometimes a little nervous before we start and we're all the more happy when we're good," says Carlotta Merschformann her Westphalian mare. The eleven-year-old Comme-il-faut daughter was born to the Merschformann family, Carlotta's father trained her and Carlotta has been allowed to ride her for two years. The two of them showed how well they fit together at the Preis der Beste: With a fast clear round, they secured victory in the warm-up test. Third place in the second classification, a medium level jumping test with two rounds, meant the gold medal in the overall classification.

Emma Wiktor (Trent/Rügen) for the state association Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and her Mecklenburg mare Clara came second in the final and thus secured the silver medal in the Children under 14 category. Bronze goes to Schleswig-Holstein, to Vieca Sophie Bade and the Hanoverian Contendro offspring Chades of Grey. In the overall ranking, the two have only one point less than Emma Wiktor and Clara.

The winner of the ponies is Carlotte Merschformann, also in the saddle of a Westphalian mare: the 14-year-old Black Pearl SH NRW. Here, too, the 14-year-old rider from Rosendahl secured victory in the first classification. With a clear round in the first round of the finals and an obstacle error in the second round, she was fourth in the second classification, which was enough for the overall victory.

Franca Clementine Kroely from Isernhagen and Karim van Orchid's came second in the final and secured the silver medal. Hanna Bräuer from Wilnsdorf did well with two horses. With Miss Mc Fly NRW, she won the final and was third in the overall ranking. With Cookie, she was third in the final and would actually be fourth in the overall classification of the Best of the Year, but here a horse or pony is still counted.
