Monterrey: Third place for Jana Wargers

Monterrey (fn-press). The well-known stud farm La Silla of the Mexican entrepreneur and show jumper Alfonso Romo invited the active riders to two tournaments on four and five star level. At the second weekend (CSI5*) Jana Wargers (Bocholt/Belgium) achieved a great success: With the Holstein stallion Limbridge she placed third in the Grand Prix.

The long journey to Mexico came to a successful end for Jana Wargers. The 29-year-old, who will turn 30 in three days, has been in Mexico for weeks and visited several competitions there. In Monterrey at the La Silla Stud, she now achieved her greatest success: in the Grand Prix of the CSI5*, which is worth around 185,000 euros, she took third place in the saddle of the twelve-year-old Holstein stallion Limbridge (by Limbus). Only four of the 40 starting pairs had reached the jump-off after a clear round. Here Wargers and Limbridge were also clear, but the 40.03 seconds they needed were a little too slow for victory. The German rider, who rides for Ashford Farm in Bocholt, Belgium, had to let the Irish rider Paul O'sea and the Hanoverian Chancelloress by Chacco-Blue (0/38.39) and the Canadian rider Mario Deslauries with the Holsteiner mare Bardolina by Clarimo (0/39.85) pass her.

Richard Vogel, who trains at Hofgut Dagobertshausen near Marburg, was also drawn to Mexico. He took sixth place with the ten-year-old Zangersheide gelding Darius de Kezeg Z. The 24-year-old was also able to pass a number of riders. The 24-year-old also achieved several good placings in Mexico. Among other things, he won the Grand Prix of a CSI3* in Coapexpan with the Westphalian gelding Caramba by Comme il Faut. Vogel took over the ten-year-old chestnut from Denis Lynch in May. hen
