It was exactly five hundredths that were missing at the end of the round to also make it into the jump-off in twelfth place: Daniel Deusser and Killer Queen (by Eldorado vd Zeshoek) galloped over the finish line just a blink of an eye too late, after they had completed the 1.60m course of the Longines Grand Prix at the World Cup in Lyon without touching the poles.
Nevertheless, they still made it into the money. But it was a German rider who placed at the top: Behind the once again uncatchable home matador Julien Epaillard on Caracole de la Roque (by Zandor Z), Jana Wargers with Limbridge (by Guardus Limbus) finished second with a double zero. Third place went to the next Frenchman, Roger Yves Bost on Ballerine du Vilpion (by Baloubet du Rouet), ahead of the Dane Andreas Schou on Independent (by Diamant de Revel).
For Julien Epaillard it was already the second victory of the day. He had already won the two-phase jumping competition over 1.50m on Donatello d'Auge (by Jarnac).
