About the siblings

The two siblings Britt and Mikka Roth have taken up show jumping with their mother's milk. No wonder, when both parents were successful up to the advanced class and are holders of the Golden Riding Badge.

Riding began early for the two siblings. They had their first experience with horses on the Shettland pony "Muckel". "Horses have always been an integral part of our lives," the two explain to us.
Throughout all age groups, the siblings were able to attract attention not only nationally, but also internationally. Here, however, the age group of the Children in the success résumé of the two particularly stands out.
"My biggest success was certainly winning the gold medal with the team at the European Championships!", Mikka Roth tells us. "For me, it is in the any case also the participation in the European Championships and the receipt of the Golden Riding Badge.", adds Britt. At the age of 14, she was one of the youngest riders in Germany to receive her gold riding badge. Her favorite and successful horse, the mare "Thekla-Carola", also played a large part in this. With her, the future veterinarian was in jumping 150cm.
A considerable amount of success for the two young riders from Rhineland-Palatinate. But even after setbacks, they quickly look ahead again. One tries to analyze together errors and to improve these then in the future. Mikka Roth can also show victories and placings up to 140cm with his horse. Together with his horses Atthina, Conan and other sport partners, he would like to establish himself this season also 145cm jumping.
The days of the two siblings are currently different. Britt has been studying veterinary medicine in Budapest since the fall of 2020. "That's why I'm not at home every day, of course," she explains. Her brother Mikka is still in school. "With me, it's currently an alternation of homeschooling and riding."
At home, at Salmhof near Landau, the two train together with their parents. Their mother, Barbara Roth, also counts as a role model for the two, along with Marcus Ehning. What they admire about Ehning is his strong nerves, his forward-thinking and planning nature, and his ability to adapt quickly to new horses. Together with their parents, they work a lot on the dressage basics and make sure that their horses receive varied training. The two also try to vary their training before big shows. "Of course, we then use the horses a little more specifically and work out a long-term plan early on."
At home, the two siblings work their horses a lot in "forward-downward." Likewise, they see canter work and varying canter jumps as an important part of their daily work.
Equestrian sports will continue to be a big part of both siblings' lives. Through their own breeding of show jumpers, the offspring for a further career in show jumping is also secured.
