Oudkarspel:Four-star victory for Ingrid Klimke

Oudkarspel/NED (fn-press). Ingrid Klimke (Münster) started the 2022 season with a double win. In the four-star short test (CCI4*-S) in Oudkarspel in the Netherlands, the two-time European champion took the lead with her championship horse SAP Hale Bob OLD and also finished second with Equistros Siena Just Do It.

Once again Ingrid Klimke laid the foundation for her success in dressage. She and her 18-year-old Oldenburg gelding SAP Hale Bob OLD ("Bobby") only conceded 23.7 minus points in the ring. Despite a few time errors in the cross-country and a drop in jumping, he still had enough points in the end with a total of 35.3 minus points to assert himself at the top over his stable neighbor Equistros Siena Just Do It (37.4). "For Bobby it was the first tournament this year. I had considered it with Peter Thomsen, but also with our former national coach Hans Melzer, to start directly with a four-star tournament and that was exactly right. Bobby was fresh and fit and lively," said Ingrid Klimke. Your next stop is now called Pratoni del Vivaro. A spring tournament will be held at the site of this fall's World Championships from May 11th to 15th. "I've been to the championships in Pratoni before and also two years ago to a CCI. But this year they have a new builder whose handwriting we want to see before the World Championships," said Klimke.

Klimkes started their way home from Oudkarspel with two golden ribbons. Because winning the three-star short test (CCI3*-S) also stayed in the family. Here Klimke's daughter Greta Busacker was able to beat the competition with Scrabble. The U21 double European champions of 2021, with their dressage and final result of only 26.2 minus points, left both Hanna Knüppel (Elsfleth) with Geke's Equigrip Levinio (27.2) and Olympic squad members Sophie Leube (Hamm) with Jadore Moi (27.9 ) and Anna Siemer (Salzhausen) with young horse Naughty Girl behind with 29.2 minus points. "It was fun to ride home such a test without any mistakes in cross-country and jumping," said Busacker. Her next appearances are at the Preis der Besten in Warendorf (May 20th to 22nd) and then at the German Youth Championships in Luhmühlen (June 23rd to 26th). hb
