(Elmshorn) The Holsteiner Verband stallion show is actually an event that attracts several thousand spectators from home and abroad to the Holstein Halls in Neumünster. The corona pandemic has now forced those responsible around Managing Director Norbert Boley to present the stallions exclusively online for the second time. In order to make the presentation as real and honest as possible, they were shown live on February 5th via ClipMyHorse.TV from the Fritz-Thiedemann-Halle in Elmshorn. "In the times of Corona, it is rather difficult for our breeders to see the stallions live. That's why we think that the additional service with the videos in hand, in the stable and in the side picture can help with the mating decisions with the younger stallions," explains managing director Norbert Boley in advance. In order to ensure this without building in longer breaks, the free jumping and these sequences were recorded in advance. The same applies to the presentation of the two dressage sires Fidano by Fider Dance and Gold Ball v. Goldberg commenting on her instructor Kimberly Kühl. The program was opened by the Minister of the Interior xx v. Masterstroke xx, a thoroughbred that Tjark Nagel commented on as "above average jumping". “I hope that Minister of the Interior will be well received by our breeders and will be fed some of the best mares. We need thoroughbreds to maintain toughness in our breeding and we always need new lines,” Boley campaigned for the seven-year-old Minister of the Interior. Free jumping and the development of the three-year-olds were also eagerly awaited. In addition to the two Neumünster-licensed Zuccarello by Zuccero and Update v. Nohoval Z by United Way, discovered at the Westphalian licensing, convinced. Nixon van't Meulenhof, who comes from one of the best lines in the world, namely that of Narcotique de Muze, and is a very good addition to the association stallion population. “Nohoval has a very good top line, is modern and has a good size and lots of scope. Actually, how you imagine a show jumper today,” Norbert Boley describes his newcomer.
The four-year-old and older stallions presented themselves under the rider, more precisely in the course. For example, there was Camino Royal v. Clarimo, a half brother to Keaton, who has very good hooves and correct feet and legs. Or the Dominator Z son Daikon, who was presented by Mascha Krause. "A horse that has a lot of overview and has length at the jump, but is still at the beginning of its training and is playful, as is quite normal for a four-year-old," says Tjark Nagel, whose accompaniment at this stallion show has a long tradition . Sophie Hinners came from Pfungstadt in southern Hesse with three horses especially for the show. In addition to million dollars Plot Blue, “a new pair that the international scene is talking about”, according to Tjark Nagel, she had Daymian v. Darco and the State and Federal Champion Crack by Cornet Obolensky brought along. In addition, the reigning German champion competed in the saddle of character full by. Comme il Faut place and couldn't stop beaming.
Keaton v. Kannan, Dubliner v. Dinken, the former champion stallion Cahil by Cornet Obolensky and Del Arko d'Henvet SF presented Massimo Bonomi, chief rider of the Elmshorn stallion stable. Bonomi received a lot of praise from Tjark Nagel for his work with the stallions in cooperation with Karsten Huck, who attested to all the horses' great development: "It's fun to work with such well-trained horses and riders." focus on sport. "Together with the board, we decided that Del Arko and Massimo should have the opportunity to develop further on the international stage," Boley explained the plans for the Frenchman, who represents a blood alternative for Holsteiner mares. Alexandra and Marten Witt traveled from Friedrichskoog and took part in the saddle of Vigado v. Vigo d'Arsouilles, Cardentos v. Cardento, Corfu de la Vie v. Cumano and United Way v. Uriko place. Speaking of Uriko: The only 15-year-old Untouchable son is already in the process of founding his own line. Clips from some of the offspring who travel internationally underscored this, as did his son United Way and his son Update. "I'm proud to have discovered Uriko. He's made a lot of friends by now, but he wasn't always the number 1 breeder. Still, it was worth believing in him,” Boley recalls. The stallion presentation ended with Rolf Göran Bengtsson and Zuccero by Zirocco Blue. A long and friendly cooperation connects the Holsteiner Verband, especially Norbert Boley, and the Swede, who previously also owned Catch v. Colman impressively piloted through the course. And of course sires like Larimar v. Lavall II, Clarimo v. Clearway, Dinken v. Diarado, Uriko v. Untouchable and of course Casall v. Caretino not missing at the presentation. Norbert Boley had the final word, for whom it was the last stallion show after 40 years. Visibly touched, the outgoing managing director thanked his entire team and wished Sebastian Rohde, who will succeed him in March, all the best.
You can find the entire stallion performance in the ClipMyHorse.TV media library. In the next four weeks, the recording can also be viewed without a premium membership.
