"I'm just grateful that I can ride this horse," said the four-time Olympian after the winning lap in the boiling-hot Schlosspark square. The morning heat battle at almost 30 degrees in the most difficult dressage test in the world could not be seen big on either the horse or the rider.

Victoria Max-Theurer: “Topas has so much talent, he can do everything that is needed for the Grand Prix and the Special. I can't believe how quickly we found each other. He already thinks like me, anticipates, is always with me and fully motivated. He is so sensitive and attentive at the same time. We just have a great connection to each other and the last results are fantastic, they were four constant stages in a row. I can only repeat it: I am grateful to be able to ride this horse!" The rest of the Austrian team also presented themselves in brilliant form for Herning at the compulsory tournament for the World Cup qualification (DEN, August 6th to 14th, 2022). As on Friday in the Grand Prix, Florian Bacher and Fidertraum OLD also took second place in the Special on Sunday. Stefan Lehfellner, third in the Grand Prix on Friday with Roberto Carlos MT, was on the way to 2nd place in the Special with up to 75 percent. In addition, Christian Schumach and Donna Karacho won the Grand Prix of the Freestyle Tour. Overall, there was great praise for the red-white-red team from tournament boss Sissy Max-Theurer: “The tournament went well, the performances were very good and it was clear who would go for the championships, i.e. the youngsters -EM in Hartpury and the World Championships in Herning. Florian Bacher has fulfilled all criteria, the rest is decided by the board of directors based on a suggestion from the dressage department. But I assume that we will send a team to the World Cup because the performances were really appealing." Victoria Max-Theurer was also happy about the performance of her teammates: "The entire team presented itself in very good form, there were many strong laps again, the atmosphere is very positive and motivating for each and every one of us. I think if everyone stays fit we can do well in Herning.” In the Small Tour, Peter Gmoser and Foreman MJ also dominated on the third day of the tournament. The 10-year-old gelding owned by the Jerich family once again showed his best side in the Intermediare I and scored 72.971 percent in the saddle of the experienced rider Peter Gmoser. "Our sixth win in a row. Foreman shows consistency, he goes through the tests safely and was even more relaxed today than yesterday at St. Georges." In the last test of the young horse tour, Yvonne Kläne presented the Max Theurer horse Fürst Schwarzenberg MT in the final of the 7-year-olds. The jury praised the Hanoverian stallion as "an elegant and light-footed horse with prospects".
