After five exciting days at the HKM Bundeschampionats, the last national anthem on the riding horse arena was for the newly crowned Bundeschampion of the three-year-old stallions, the Hanoverian Vogue.
After winning the Hanoverian Championships in Verden, the HKM Bundeschampionats in Warendorf were the second appearance for Vogue, where he won the final qualification straight away. And even though the imposing bay stallion was "not quite as balanced" in the trot turns and "not quite as diligent" in the walk as in the first test, he never left any doubt about his special quality. For the trot the judges awarded 9.0, for the walk 8.5 and for the ground-covering, big canter an even 10. Together with an 8.5 for the riding qualities and a 9.5 for the Vitalis son, who had a good foundation and stood in the desired rectangular format, the result was a final score of 9.1. "It is insane to ride a horse of such quality," said his rider Leonie Richter, who also secured victory in the seven-year-old dressage horse class with Dos Amigos OLD and a third place with Total McLaren in the five-year-old dressage horse class at the HKM Bundeschampionat.

Vogue was bred by Zuchtgemeinschaft Werth from Moers out of a dam by Fidertanz and was one of seven final ring stallions at the 2021 Westphalian licensing. He was subsequently sold to Helgstrand Stables via the auction. The demand from breeders for the stallion was very high, however, he was taken out of breeding for the time being due to insufficient quality of the semen. "Otherwise we probably wouldn't be here," said Dr Ulf Möller from Helgstrand Dressage. The plan now is for Vogue to take his stallion performance test in the spring, "then we'll see." The sixth and last of the finalists, the Westphalian Champion Elastic (by Escolar - Dimaggio), bred by Daniela Werheit-Wagemeyer, also presented himself dynamically in trot (9.0) and with the desired uphill tendency in canter (9.5). Skilfully presented by Maxi Kira von Platen, he convinced with his riding qualities (9.5) and his conformation with a good topline and dry foundation (9.0). Together with an 8.0 for the walk, he ended up with a final score of 9.0. Like Vogue, Elastic is also owned by Helgstrand Dressage.
Well presented by his rider Stefanie Ahlert, Glamdale WP was able to improve in the trot and rideability (both 9.5) as well as in the walk (8.0) in the final and ended up in bronze place with a final score of 8.8. Glamdale WP, a son of the newly crowned Dressage World Champion Glamourdale, was bred by the breeding partnership Werner and Heike Pleines out of a dam by Millenium and is also owned by them. He just won the traditional "Westfalenwappen" at the "Turnier der Sieger" in Mü
For the preparation of Glamdale WP, Stefanie Ahlert was awarded the Animal Welfare Prize by the BMEL. "The rider created a calm preparation for the test with her stallion. By fine tuning with in the aids, she enabled him again and again, depending on the situation, to extend the frame accordingly or to shorten it appropriately," said the justification.
