Alex Stais wins Grand Prix in Oliva

The GP Qualifier on Thursday at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour in Oliva was just a warm-up round for the pair, but on Sunday they hit the ground running: The Grand Prix over 1.50m, which also counts towards the world ranking, was a sure prey for Alexa Stais and Urhelia Lutterbach (by Helios de La Cour). In the jump-off, the rider of the Markus Beerbaum/Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum stable left the assembled competition behind her with her second fast clear round.
The US-American Michael Hughes with Melodie-K Van'T Kattenheye (by Cornet Obolenski) was one and a half seconds behind, followed by Jason Foley on Rockwell RC (by Kannan) and Jack Ansems on his as always fast Fliere Fluiter (by Zirocco Blue).

Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann managed the fourth fastest time in the jump-off with Chaka Chaka, but a jumping fault made her slip to seventh place. Kendra Claricia Brinkop also made it into the money: With In Time (by Biscayo) she even had the fastest round in the jump-off, but the mare touched a pole too much twice, so that she ended up in twelfth place.
